Clackmannanshire Schools

The Clackmannanshire Schools project comprises the design, build, finance and maintenance of three secondary schools – Lornshill Academy, Alloa Academy, and Alva Academy – in Scotland. Delivered in collaboration with local educational authorities and communities, the project was part of a wider initiative to modernise educational infrastructure and foster inclusive learning environments.

Each school was individually designed to reflect its local setting and educational needs, incorporating extensive consultation with stakeholders during the development phase.

The facilities became operational in 2009, and the concession extends to 2039.

Sustainability

The project placed a strong emphasis on community integration and sustainable architecture. Lornshill Academy features a distinctive castle-inspired design befitting its elevated site. Alloa Academy’s inclusive layout enabled the successful integration of pupils with additional support needs into a mainstream setting, while Alva Academy was developed to serve as a landmark educational facility and community hub.

All three schools were built to modern energy efficiency standards and are designed to foster long-term community use beyond school hours.
