The Lagan College project is an availability-based project involving design, construction, partial refurbishment, and maintenance of a new build of a second-level school and upgrades to an existing facility to address capacity pressures and replace temporary, dilapidated classrooms. The expanded facilities now accommodate 1,200 students aged 11-18.

The schools supports integrated education for students from Catholic, Protestant, and other backgrounds and was established as Northern Ireland’s first planned integrated school in 1981.

Sustainability

The redevelopment replaced temporary structures with permanent facilities designed to support modern education. Improved spatial planning has enhanced the learning environment through inclusion of ICT-enabled classrooms, counselling rooms, and group break-out areas.
