North London Estate Partnerships

The North London Estates Partnership is an availability-based project delivered under the UK Government’s Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) initiative. The projects involves the design, construction, financing, and ongoing maintenance of five primary healthcare facilities across four tranches, with financial closes between July 2004 and September 2010.

These facilities provide services including GP practices, chiropody, speech and language therapy, community nursing, dental surgery, and family planning, as well as planned diagnostic procedures from the Finchley Memorial community hospital.

Sustainability

All buildings were designed and constructed to achieve a minimum BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) rating of “Excellent”, reflecting a strong emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainable building practices. There are solar panels as part of the design solution at the Finchley Memorial Hospital.

The facilities are embedded in their communities, often hosting local social initiatives and providing shared spaces for public use.
