Tor Bank School was completed in October 2012 and is a brand-new educational facility accommodating 164 pupils with severe learning difficulties in the 3-19 age range. The old building was deficient in terms of size, layout and overall area with more than 40% of the teaching accommodation comprised of temporary classrooms. The school was lacking in specialist teaching areas which created difficulties for the delivery of the curriculum. The new scheme has rectified all these issues. The project became operational in 2012 and the concession runs until 2037.
