Women’s College Hospital
The Women’s College Hospital project in Toronto, Ontario is a 10-storey facility (approx. 60,000 m²) delivered under a PPP model.
The scope included the design, build, finance, operation, and maintenance of a hospital that provides ambulatory care, surgical, research, educational, and administrative services.
Operational since 2013, the concession runs until 2043. The hospital is a leader in women’s health, offering diagnostics, chronic care, and outpatient services in a purpose-built, patient-focused environment.
Sustainability
The facility achieved LEED Gold certification in 2017. Ongoing sustainability initiatives include a lighting replacement programme, with 60% of the hospital transitioned to LED in 2024, and the installation of 20 electric vehicle charging stations.
The hospital also features an Indigenous Medicine Wheel Garden on the third-floor green roof, supporting biodiversity with 12 species of hardy and native perennial plants.
